Influences
I LOVE modern jazz...
Trine Lise Vaering, Sue McCreeth (who I am lucky enough to have studied with), Christine Tobin, Flora Purim etc. amongst vocalists.
Airto Moraira, Marilyn Mazur, Dave Holland, Pat Metheny, Chris Potter and many other instrumentalists
Other stuff I dig: Fairground Attraction, Lisa Ekdahl, Salif Keita, Heather Nova.
Sounds Like
Well- what do you think?
Quite a few people have said I sound like Sade...
I never used to listen to her but I take it as a compliment!
Welcome to this little space in the cyber universe!
Feel free to take your shoes off and let your feet soak in the water...
I seem to have a bit of an ocean theme going on!
I guess I better say a bit about me!
I am originally from Denmark, which is a small but very lovely country made up of Islands.
Since 1999 I have been in the UK, and have been doing some music courses here, including an HND in jazz at Chichester College, and a BMus at TVU, London.
I am loving the music scene in London and Brighton!!
This year I have completed a PGCE to teach music to 11-18 year olds. It has been absolutely amazing making muisic with young people
At the moment I am singing in a Latin band: www.fuegolento.com you can hear some tracks if you click on us in my top friends!
I love getting involved in various other peoples projects when time permits, and so have found myself working with French rap artist Whity, and also recording some Danish children songs for a compilation of childrens songs from all over the world. There is no way of guessing what future projects might involve!
There is no “who I’d like to meet" section on this profile setting-
So I’ll make one up:
Most likely I’d love to meet YOU! I really like it when people want to share their music, their art, writing or daily musings with me!
I am not looking for romantic connections, as I am lucky enough to be in love with, and be loved back by a WONDERFUL man
how delightful- not only are you nice about my show but you have the most splendid voice since I don't know when. anywho- I wonder if you would consider placing some guest vocals on one of my more melodic songs? If so, drop me a line. You're ace. All the best- Elemental
Hey Naja!!! How's it going? Your tracks are sounding great! You in Brighton mostly now? Let me know when you're playing here in London next and I'll get myself there fo sho.

”The gift of listening: Try giving this to someone in need. And you must really listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your responses. Just listen.
The gift of signs of affection: Be generous with your hugs, kisses and gentle squeezes of the hand. Let these tiny actions demonstrate the love inside of you.
The gift of a note: It can be as simple as "I Love You" or as creative as a sonnet. Put your notes where they will surprise your loved one.
The gift of laughter: Just cut out a cartoon, save a clever article. Your gift will say, "I love to laugh with you."
The gift of compliment: A simple "You look good in blue" or "Good supper" can be of greatest value to those who may feel they are being taken for granted.
The gift of a favor: Help with the dishes, run an errand, etc..... do it willingly.
The gift of leaving alone: There are times in our lives when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Become more sensitive to those times and give solitude.
The gift of a cheerful disposition: Try to be cheerful around those you love.
The gift of a game: Offer to play your loved one's favorite game. Even if you lose, you'll be a winner.
The gift of prayer: Pray for your loved ones and let them know you pray for them.
