Dear All,

So far this beautiful autumn season has brought many gorgoeus gigs my way! The Iona Leigh Band have been hard at work spreading magical music to autumn audiences! We have met some wondeful people along the way, made some new friends/fans who we hope to see at some of our future gigs this winter! I've had the pleasure of working with some fab new additions to the Iona Leigh band, includind Jannike on backing vocals and Buzz on drums - thank you both for all your hard rehearsing and performing! Thanks again to all of you for coming out in the wind and rain to see us play live and we hope to see you again soon! We have some great gigs coming up ... including a feature spot at the beautiful Union Chapel - so please keep checking my gig page! : )

Dear Friends,

I'm so pleased to announce my fabuous new sponsorship deal with Selkie Clarsachs in Orkney! My mother commissioned Selkie Clarsachs to make me an electric lap harp for my 21st birthday - and I've been in love with its sound, size and sweet selkie nature ever since! I'm very pleased to become an ambassador for Selkie Clarsachs and would like to tell you a little more about them ... The founder of Selkie Harps, Mark Shiner, began learning the craft of Clarsach making in the early 1990's, and has been playing and selling harps ever since! He runs a small harp makers and instrument repairs workshop in Stromness, a pictueresque and ancient port in the Orkney Islands. Mark states: "In this beautiful and historical setting, we are trying to get past the idea that harps are unattainable treasures ... We believe passionately that harps should be affordable but of high quality and easy to own". For more information about these beautiful, unique and custom made harps, you can visit the Selkie Clarsachs website at: http://www.selkieharps.co.uk. Lastly, people often ask me how I get my electric lap harp on and off the London tube, and the answer is - by wearing it on my back in a  comfy custom made harp case by Blue Herron Cases: http://www.blueheroncases.com

Dear Friends,

I've just returned to the big smoke, after 2 very productive weeks of recording up in the West Highlands of Scotland at producer Nick Tuner's Watercolour Music Studio. We recorded all the lead and backing vocals, plus the fiddle parts by the brilliant Gillian Frame - which are all sounding amazing! I also recorded a live harp and vocal track 'If I Were A Blackbird' with the talented musician Mary Ann Kennedy (Amazing Gaelic Singer & Harpist). This track is the most acoustic, chilled out and traditional track on the album - so check out the first version on my music player and let me know what you think! We are now heading into the last instrumental parts and mixing stage, which is all very exciting - so watch this space! Thanks x

With love & laughter : )
