Rehearsing for the new album |

Dear Friends,
I have some very exciting news!...... I have just begun rehearsing for my fabulous new album (title to still be chosen) at the Watercolour Music studio in Ardgour, Scotland. I've been rehearsing and arranging the album setlist with guitarist/vocalist Findlay Napier of 'The Bar Room Mountaineers' band , and producer Nick Turner of 'Queen Anne's Revenge' songwriting team. So far - its all sounding very good indeed, and we are feeling quietly confident that we are in the process of creating a fantastic album for your listening pleasure! This album is delving deeper into my Scottish folk roots by examining some traditional material, mixed in with my contemporary influences to create that is uniquely IONA. Some of the favourite tracks so far are 'White Dove' a sailor's story, 'Selkie Song' a modernised ballad, and 'Forever To Sleep' a sad love story. We hope to put some of the demo tracks up on this page soon, but in the meantime take a listen to some tracks from my 'Spirit album on my MySpace page.
